Review of “The Million Masks Of God” by Manchester Orchestra when it was released earlier this year, NME wrote: “Manchester Orchestra has always been a suitable band for a Greatest Hits album, pulling together strengths from their somewhat disparate catalog to get a better idea of what they can do as a band.
“With ‘The Million Masks Of God’ they wrote something that feels like one – a record that cuts through every nook and cranny of their sound, from beefy rock songs to greatness and acoustic bliss assisted by strings, further cementing their place as under a group appreciated to cherish.
Since the album’s release, the group has shared a new song titled “Never Ending,” the latest single from the soundtrack of the DC comedy series. Dark Nights: Death Metal, and covered “Unknown Legend” by Neil Young.
Local Natives, meanwhile, released their last full album in 2019 with ‘Violet Street’. Last year they followed him up with the EP ‘Sour Lemon’ which featured Sharon Van Etten’s collaboration ‘Lemon’.
