The Conservatory of Dance partners with Ramsdell for the ballet Manistee
MANISTEE – Young people from the Manistee area are expected to perform in an upcoming ballet in Manistee which focuses on the story of “Aurora Sleeping Beauty”.
The Manistee Conservatory of Dance will present “Aurora Sleeping Beauty†November 4-6 at the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts, Manistee.
“Aurora Sleeping Beauty” is the story of a young princess cursed by an evil maleficent to fall into a deep sleep, only to be awakened by her one true love. The ballet will be performed by local students aged 3 to 18.
Xavier Verna, executive director of Ramsdell, said in a press release that Ramsdell is “delighted to promote our local talent and looks forward to a family event”.
The production is directed by the co-owners of the Conservatory of Dance Shelli Golembiewski and Tarah Fancher.
“This ballet is beautiful and we can’t wait to share it with our community,†Golembiewski said in the statement.
Fancher said in the statement that “these dancers bring the magic of this classic tale to life.”
The show will take place the first weekend of November and has shows at 7 p.m. and a morning show at 1 p.m. Tickets for this show will be general admission. Visit RamsdellTheater.org for more information.
