The Three Cultures Foundation and the Essaouira Mogador Association are organizing the 18th edition of the Festival des Andalousies Atlantiques in the Moroccan city of Essaouira, which will be held from November 27 to 30, 2022 in the Moroccan city of Essaouira.

Throughout the history of the Atlantic Andalusian Festival, musicians and artists from different parts of the Mediterranean have come together to celebrate the Judeo-Arabic heritage of their music, a link between the music of Al Andalus and the Andalusian flamenco of today .

In this edition it will be the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía directed by Ursula Lopez choreographer and artistic director of the Ballet, who will bring the essence of flamenco art to the Essaouira stage with the performance at the opening gala of the fragment of the show “Naturally Flamenco” and the ensemble with the Andalusian Orchestra of Omar Metioui a proposal that will highlight this link between Andalusian music and flamenco.

And as an expression of the most rooted flamenco heritage the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía will present the day after the opening the show ‘Tríptico’ in which the disciplines of flamenco, stylized dance and bolero dance form a harmonious whole, the result of a profound creative process and process of reflection and meditation inspired by the great figure in the history of flamenco dance, Antonio el Bailarín.
