The Louisville Ballet is hosting open auditions in support of its Ballet Bound initiative.
The Louisville Ballet has launched a new initiative to strengthen diversity. It’s called Ballet Bound, and it’s a scholarship program for kids ages 7-9. The program gives 20 local children the chance to attend a free weekly camp with the Louisville Ballet.

Ballet Bound is designed to start a 10-year process that ends with students becoming professional dancers with the Louisville Ballet.
On Sunday at Iroquois Park, the Louisville Ballet continued its audition tour to bring the art form to underserved communities.
The Louisville Ballet is holding five auditions in total to identify 20 dancers for the 2021-22 Ballet Bound class.
They must stand at:
Boone Square: June 5, 10:00 am-11:30am
Seneca Park: June 19, 10:00 am-11:30am
Shelby Park: July 10, 10:00 am-11:30am
Iroquois Park: July 18, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Russell Lee Park: July 24, 10:00 am-11:30am
Auditions are open to ALL children from 7 to 9 years old.
