ATP 500 tennis tournament (semi-final and final) on October 8 and 9
The ATP 500 Astana Open hard-court tournament kicked off on October 3 in the capital. The competition featured six Top 10 players from the Pepperstone ATP Rankings, including world number one Carlos Alcaraz and 21-time Grand Slam singles champion Novak Djokovic. The entry list was led by ATP No. 1 player Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas (ATP No. 5), Felix Auger-Alliassime (ATP No. 8), Hubert Hurkacz (ATP No. 10).

This weekend, residents can attend the semi-final and final matches and take part in the entertainment program organized as part of the on-site tournament.

Ballet “Cinderella” at the Astana Opera on October 8-9
The ballet will recreate the well-known tale of Cinderella with a modern touch . The plot and characters of the story are preserved. However, the romantic relationship between Cinderella and the Prince evolves in the context of their creative ideas: Cinderella (Ella) dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and the Prince dreams of becoming a composer and DJ.

The music of Sergei Prokofiev, performed by the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra, is complemented by the atmospheric acoustic sound of modern popular songs by Jimmy Durant, Billy Ray Cyrus, James Brown and Louis Armstrong.
